I know I know Drakes video shoot for “Best I ever Had” was about two weeks ago, but when I found out my homegirl Shakur was his leading lady in the video I had to make sure to get these photos up! Shakur and I go back to hanging out in Miami with Pleasure P when he was working on his album, we instantly clicked she’s one of the coolest pretty bitches i know lol!!! Shakur and I got to talking last week and so much has changed in her life from her new found booty (she gave me all the tips on how to maximize your ass) to where exactly she wants to take her career. She’s more then just a video vixen. While right now Shakur will find much of her fame for being the funny loud outspoken chick in Drakes video, Shakur is working with Will.IAM. on her music as well as buckling down on acting classes.
XXL also caught up with Shakur and this is what she had to say about working with Drake and yes her and Kanye are that close!

As Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” continues to climb the Billboard Hot 100 chart, anticipation for the song’s video is reaching an all time high.

As previously reported, Drizzy recently shot a video for his smash single directed by Kanye West. Though the video features appearances by Lil Wayne, Common, Trey Songz and Fabolous, model Shakur is likely to steal the show as one of the video’s leading ladies. Handpicked by Mr. West himself, Shakur, who is also an aspiring actress and artist who works closely with Black Eyed Peas frontman, will.i.am, spoke to XXLMag.com about getting the part.

“Kanye had call me,” Shakur told XXL. “And he told me he was about to shoot the video for ‘Best I Ever Had.’ I was like, ‘That’s cool.’ He was telling me about the treatment, I was like, ‘that’s real dope.’ He said, ‘Yeah, as a matter of fact, you’d be real dope for it.’ I said, ‘Oh yeah, that’s what’s up.’ Cause you know I’m an aspiring actress, I’ve been studying theatrics under a private coach and I’m also an artist, so he was like, “Yeah, it’d be a good look for you.”

Though she shared the lead with several models, Shakur not only got to share extensive camera time with Drake, but improvise with the actor-turned-rapper, as well. In addition to a Degrassi theme, the video reportedly features an all female basketball game featuring some of Drizzy’s love interests. Shakur stars as one of the squad’s team captains. While she remained tight-lipped about any additional details, Shakur is confident the video will live up to the expectations.

“It’s really about to be huge and I need to be part of something big this year,” she explained. “For hip-hop this year, it’s really gonna be huge.”

Amber Rose has made quite a name for herself in the few short months that she became Kanye’s main chick, while most of us had bets that relationship wouldn’t see past Fashion Week these two are still getting it in and Amber has made sure with or without Ye she’s gonna pop. This is what she has to say about her new found “celebrity”.

Today was a good day.
A few weeks ago, I told Uncle Russ that I do not want to “waste my celebrity,” as my celebrity is a gift to me, my family and the world…not only for me to get ahead, but for others as well. So, I am happy to announce that I have officially signed to the Ford Agency and I am moving to NY to pursue my modeling and acting careers! I am going to be taking acting classes in NY and will pursue the dreams that I have had my entire life. Today, I feel really blessed. I can actually look @ this contract and know that I have made some progress. Proof that when you work hard, good things do happen. I know it is just a piece of paper, but to me that contract represents millions of opportunities that are now before me. Again, it is not just to help me, but so I can make a greater impact around the world. The world is only what you make it…so when you have great opportunities, use them and make your dreams come true!

Hey guys! Before I got back into the blogging thing I thought it was only right to give you all an ample explanation on why I’ve been basically missing in action. First let me take you all back to where it all begun.
Following my high school graduation I had all plans to go to college and become a teacher. I loved kids so much and so naturally I wanted to teach kindergarten. But as I grew closer to attending college I decided that was no longer the path for me, but not wanting to let my parents down I buckled down and got my ass to class, by my second semester I started cutting class and finally said fuck it this ain’t for me. I remembered watching a “Beind the Music” on Britney Spears and saw what her personal assistant did for her and said “Hey I could be really good at that”. I had always loved music and acting since I was a small child, and now at 18years old had such a strong love for hip hop and pop culture that I told myself I was going to be a personal assistant in the music industry and DJ Clue would be my first client. To make a long story short I never assisted Clue but did in fact get my first paid internship for a company called “Big Shot Records” they were a subsidarary label of Epic Records and were working on an artist named “Nazkar” at the time. They gave me huge responsibilities and at a young 19 I was attending music industry parties and meeting some of the biggest names in the business. From there I went on to interning for non other then my entertainment mother “Wendy Williams”, after my internship with her ended thats when the “Ultimate Hustler” came into play. This news is no surprise, and was prematurely reported back in May. But, reports are claiming that Vibe magazine is now close to shutting its doors, becoming yet another victim of the recession.

According to DailyFinance.com, multiple sources from within and outside the company confirmed rumors of the long-running print magazine.

While an official statement has been released, CFO Angela Zucconi told the website that one would come “by the end of the day. That’s all I can say at this point.”

Update: Danyel Smith, Vibe’s former Editor-in-chief released this statement, further confirming reports of the mag’s closing: “On behalf the Vibe content staff (the best in this business), it is with great sadness, and with heads held high, that we leave the building today. We were assigning and editing a Michael Jackson tribute issue when we got the news. It’s a tragic week in overall, but as the doors of Vibe Media Group close, on the eve of the magazine’s sixteenth anniversary, it’s a sad day for music, for hip hop in particular, and for the millions of readers and users who have loved and who continue to love the Vibe brand. We thank you, we have served you with joy, pride and excellence, and we will miss you.”

Vibe was launched in 1993 by Quincy Jones.
